Score barrier also feels like a shitty bandaid mechanic for this and its frustrating when a tanky enemy gets to score even with 2 allies actively attacking the enemy. If you are steamrolling, enemies respawn faster than you can score a 50 and they can just jump back to their goal to stop your score, but once you die you get put on a 35 sec respawn and the entire enemy team gets to score. This all becomes worse when your respawn timer becomes longer the better you perform. Speed zone areas and sitrus spawn points get pushed back when your goal gets destroyed, which is good (notice how its actually important to have your first bot goal up during first drednaw so you get a healing zone and sitrus spot closer to dreadnaw), but for some reason you can still jump pad to the same areas even if all your goals are destroyed, which bring me to my first point where map control feels irrelevant as soon as jump pads spawn. It'll make a big difference and you can amp up your sensitivity as you get better. If you're below 30 accuracy with Quad Laser Cannons or anything that fires slower than that try lowering your mouse sensitivity. Sometimes i even feel that i WANT the enemy team to destroy the first goals so they dont get to do easy 100 point scores during the x2 period. If you find your shots are inaccurate, part of that has to do with mouse shake which can come from nervousness. Even the top laner can abandon the first goal to rotate for first dreadnaw and you barely get punished at all for doing so. Destroying the first goal barely gives you anything, the map control becomes irrelevant as soon as jump pads spawn. I wouldnt mind the scoring mechanic it if the map was actually balanced around it, but it isnt.
